Lower Body Lift
From Dr. William Palin
Sometimes, aging and losing a lot of weight rapidly can result in extra skin causing a problem on the lower body. A lower body lift is a procedure that is designed to tighten the skin on the buttocks and on the thighs.
This procedure is designed specifically to tighten the skin. It does not remove fat. In some cases, patients may combine a liposuction procedure with a lower body lift to sculpt their body and get exactly the look that they want. You may or may not have any need for a liposuction procedure at the same time that a lower body lift is performed, however.
A lower body lift is performed in a hospital. It is an involved procedure and, for most patients, at least two days in the hospital will be required before you can go home. While the surgery is complex, the incisions are made in a way that allows you to hide the scars from the procedure, even if you are wearing a bathing suit.
Some patients may have trouble with fluid collecting under the skin, and drains will generally be installed after the procedure to prevent this from happening. This is a surgery, of course, and that means it does entail the same risks that are associated with other surgeries.
Dr. William Palin is a skilled surgeon and can provide excellent results with lower body lift procedures. These procedures are great for people who are in good physical condition but who retain stubborn skin on their thighs and buttocks and who want to get rid of it so that they can finally have the body that they have worked so hard to achieve. This procedure will entail some recovery time, but most patients who go through it are more than happy with the results that they get from a lower body lift.
